When software matters to your business, you need more than someone to write the code. I help you work out the right solution, make the technical decisions, and take it from a clear scope to working software.

I'm John Behan, a software solutions engineer and business owner based in Ireland. I bring both software engineering experience and the perspective of running a business. You work directly with me to understand the problem, decide what is worth building and deliver it.
I don't simply take a specification, write code and leave you to manage it alone. We agree what success looks like, review decisions and progress together, and plan the launch, handover and any ongoing support from the start.
For a defined project, I can take the technical work from scope to launch. If you need ongoing input but not a full-time hire, I can work fractionally to help guide, improve and support your software over time.
If you've tried a no-code tool, built a prototype with AI, or have software that isn't doing what you need, I can review where you've got to and discuss the next step.
